Relational Therapist in Nashville, Tennessee
Meet Rachel
Do you keep repeating patterns and don’t know why… almost like you’re on autopilot? Does the way you react to things feel incongruent to the situation? Do you feel like you want to be accepted for who you are, but you’re not quite sure you know who that is?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re in the right place.
I’ve been there too…
I used to believe that to be accepted, I had to follow all the rules and never fall out of line. Perfectionism was what kept me safe in a world that was trying to get me to change. Through this coping mechanism, I found that I was completely disconnected from myself, living for the expectations of others rather than listening to my own inner voice.
When I started taking the time to deconstruct the beliefs and messages that were taught to me versus those that felt more aligned with who I was, a change happened. I was able to start speaking from a place of authenticity, start living my life with increased compassion and set boundaries that allowed me to flourish.
You are not alone and it’s never too late to find your voice.
My Values As A Therapist
integrity
Integrity is about wholeness; living and working in alignment with what matters most. In therapy, that looks like being honest, accountable, and grounded in mutual respect. It’s my commitment to you that I will hold your story with care and show up authentically, every step of the way.
collaboration
I am an active believer that you are the expert of your own story. I view my role as a facilitator to help you make sense of your story and heal from the parts that have harmed you.
curiosity
The more curious we are and the more we question our experience, as well as the experience of others, the more knowledge we gain and the more expansive our worldview becomes.
compassion
I see compassion as the foundation of meaningful change. When we approach ourselves with compassion, we make room for growth, forgiveness, and self-understanding.
inclusivity
I believe every person deserves to feel seen, respected, and safe, exactly as they are. In therapy, that means honoring your unique story, identities, and lived experiences while creating a space where you don’t have to leave any part of yourself at the door.
authenticity
Authenticity invites us back to ourselves. In therapy, that looks like learning to listen to your own voice, honor your feelings, and live in alignment with what’s real for you. My role is to model that authenticity and support you in reconnecting with the parts of yourself that long to be seen.
A little more about me
There is nothing I value more in this world than my relationships with my family and friends. I love pouring into people, deepening relationships and finding out more about what makes people who they are. I have always naturally found myself in the role of being a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a giver of insight.
I am a dog mom to the sweetest fur baby, Sprout, who I’ve had for 14 years and who loves to cuddle. I also have a deep love for music, which I’ve cultivated from a young age and is a passion I still continue to pour into.
Compassion is the foundation for how I see others and view the world around me, and I continually strive to expand my lens and worldview. Everyone has a story, and each is worth honoring. I am deeply passionate about the process of growth, and like anything that matters, it takes time. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your own journey of healing and growth!
